I set off for Australia in August 2007 for a series of concerts. I took with
me a working title for the album, a few notes on final lyrics and a rough
idea of the running order. I met Uncle Max Eulo (one of Australia's most
well known Aboriginal personalities and elders) at a ceremony in St Mary's
Cathedral, Sydney. When I was introduced to Uncle Max his words to me were
'You've come a long way', these are the opening lines to 'Fellow man' and I
realised then that I had a title for the album.

The first song recorded was 'Catch me' and it came together really quickly,
we were both delighted with the end result. A song a day was my promise and it more or less worked out that way. It's amazing what can be achieved in a day when two minds are focused and the creativity is flowing. This is a very fine album and Davie has a great voice that is a pleasure to record, the songs are straight from the heart, personal, but very easy for us all trelate to.

Another fine collection of songs from the guys. I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we looked forward to and enjoyed every minute working on the music. We always recorded on a Wednesday, just habit I suppose, some of the songs were completed in a day with the same care, attention to detail and dedication as the songs that can take a week of Wednesdays to get right. 'Songs of our lives' is a superb album and 'Famous faces' is the perfect follow up. The blend of voices are ideally matched and the identity grows stronger with each new album.

This is 'Fragments', a collection of traditional Scottish songs I'm very fond of and have enjoyed playing and singing for many years, also included are 2 songs of my own written for this album.
